Regine Velasquez reiterated to her fans that it is “no longer [her] time,” underscoring that she’s already content with the respect she earned from the public and her colleagues.
Velasquez spoke about this through her TikTok page on Friday, Nov. 22, which coincidentally was after the billing issue her fans raised over an MYX Music Awards 2024 promo material.
Article continues after this advertisement“I wanted to talk to you about me saying it’s no longer my time. Because for some reason, people get upset when I say that,” she began. “Don’t panic, don’t get upset—it’s not a bad thing. I’m just being realistic because it’s true.”

And the truth is even if I can still compete, I really don’t want to anymore.”
Velasquez recounted how she started her career by joining a singing contest, admitting she felt she had to compete for half of her career to establish herself. She then stressed that she’s now enjoying her life as a “mentor.”

“Syempre ‘yung pagiging artist nasa DNA ko na ‘yon, pero meron akong buhay and I love that I have that,” she underscored.
Concluding the video, Velasquez expressed her gratitude to her fans, also reminding the public to be kind.
